Conventional Slurry Seal

Cost-effective wearing course for county roads and city/residential streets – provides resistance to early scuffing and tearing, and improves durability over time.

Conventional slurry seal provides a strong wearing course that allows roads to withstand repeat traffic from passenger and utility vehicles. This treatment is similar to conventional micro surfacing; however, it allows for a thinner application, which is ideal for lower traffic areas such as residential neighborhoods. Additionally, slurry seal treatments are applied to prevent water intrusion.

A slurry seal treatment extends the service life of roads 5-7 years. These treatments continue to be applied as the final layer of the original cape seal combination treatment – chip seal + slurry seal.

Please note, cracks 1/4 inch and greater should be sealed prior to a slurry seal application. Slurry seals are not suitable applications on roads with ruts greater than 3/8 inch.
